Director and Founder: Carla Luckett, RN
 

Carla is a Registered Nurse with more than 40 years of experience caring for newborns and supporting families with compassion and expertise. Inspired by her mother’s legacy as a NICU nurse she spent 25 years in hospital settings, serving in the nursery, NICU, and mother-baby units. Carla later worked with the nonprofit Nurses for Newborns, providing in-home care to new mothers and medically fragile infants.

After recognizing a growing need for trusted overnight support for new families, Carla founded Nashville Night Nurses a little over 10 years ago, which helped establish one of the first night nursing companies in the Nashville area. She has spent many years night nursing and traveling alongside families, building relationships rooted in personalized, attentive care. The company’s growth has come almost entirely through heartfelt referrals — a reflection of the trust and compassion she brings to every home.

 

Known for her calm, reassuring presence, Carla blends deep clinical experience with warmth, faith, and genuine encouragement. Outside of nursing, she enjoys reading, musicals, live comedy, beach travel, and spending time with her children, three beloved grandchildren, and her dog, Remi.
